Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains how STELLAR Home Improvements (“we”) handles consumer health data, as required by Washington’s My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373).

Consumer health data we may collect
We are a home improvement contractor. We do not ask for health information and do not need it to prepare an estimate. But a request can reveal it, for example when you ask for grab bars, a curbless shower, a ramp or a wider doorway because of a disability, an injury or age, or when you mention a health condition in the details box or during a walkthrough.
The categories we may collect are therefore limited to:
- Information about a physical condition, disability or mobility need of you or someone in your household that you choose to tell us.
- Information about accessibility or medical-related changes to the home, such as accessible bathrooms or space for medical equipment, from which a health condition could be inferred.
Please share only what is needed to describe the work.
Where it comes from and why we use it
Source: only you, or someone acting for you, through the request form, by phone, text or email, or in person.
Purpose: only to provide the service you asked for: to understand the work, prepare an estimate, design and build the project, and keep the records the law requires. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We collect and use it only with your consent or as necessary to provide the service you requested. You give that consent when you choose to tell us about it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Your rights and how to use them
Under Washington’s My Health My Data Act you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and see it.
- Get a list of the third parties and affiliates we shared it with, and how to contact them.
- Withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of it.
- Have it deleted, including from our service providers’ and partners’ records.
To make a request, contact us using any method below. We will confirm your identity using only the information reasonably needed and answer within 45 days. If we need more time, up to 45 more days, we will tell you why. We do not charge for requests.
We are setting up a direct contact channel for these requests and will list it here as soon as it is ready.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We will answer within 45 days and explain our reasons in writing. If the appeal is denied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
