This policy explains what personal information STELLAR Home Improvements (“we”) collects, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers information collected through this website and through the estimate, house-sale and project communications that follow, by phone, text, email or in person.
The estimate form on this site is currently a preview and does not send the information you enter to us. The request-handling descriptions below apply once a working request channel is available.

Notice at collection
When you visit this site, our hosting providers receive the technical information described in the last item below. When you submit a request, we also collect the other items:
- Identifiers and contact details: your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address.
- Property and project information: the property’s ZIP code, the type of project and any details you write in the form.
- Your contact preference: whether you agreed to calls and texts, and when.
- Internet and technical information: when you visit any page, your IP address, browser information, the page requested and the time of the request.
We use it to answer your request, schedule a walkthrough, prepare an estimate and, if you hire us, provide and coordinate the work, and for the security, record-keeping and legal purposes described below. With your optional consent, we also use your phone number to call or text you with information and offers about the services you asked about, as described in Calls, texts and email. We keep it only as long as described under How long we keep it.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not process it for targeted advertising or profiling.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not include health or medical information, government identification numbers, financial account details or other sensitive information in the details box. How we handle health information if you share it anyway is explained in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
What we collect
What you give us
The details you type into the request form, and anything you tell us later by phone, text, email or in person while we work on your project, such as the property address, measurements, photos, selections, scheduling details and payment records.
What is recorded automatically
Like any website, the servers that deliver this site receive standard technical information with each page request: IP address, browser information, the page requested and the date and time. This is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. We do not use it to identify you or build a profile.
What we do not collect
We do not buy personal information, and we do not collect it from data brokers or social networks. The site has no account or login.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and schedule a consultation or walkthrough.
- To prepare estimates, proposals and contracts, and to perform, coordinate and warranty the work.
- If you ask us about selling your house, to evaluate the property and prepare an offer.
- To contact you about your request or project and, only if you agreed, to text you or call you by autodialer or prerecorded voice with information and offers about the services you asked about (see Calls, texts and email).
- To keep the site and our records secure, prevent fraud and comply with law, permits, licensing and tax obligations.
Who we disclose it to
We disclose personal information only for the purposes above, and only to:
- Service providers that handle it on our behalf, such as website hosting, website analytics (Google Analytics), email and phone services, and record keeping. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Partner trades we coordinate for your project, such as an architect, engineer or specialty contractor, and only the details they need to do the part of the work you asked for.
- Authorities and others where the law requires it, for example for permits and inspections, to respond to legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor business, if our business is sold or reorganized. Your information would remain covered by this policy.
Each recipient gets only the categories it needs for its role: for example, hosting providers process technical information, and a partner trade receives the contact and project details for its part of the work.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We do not sell mobile numbers, and we do not disclose mobile numbers or text-message consent to third parties for their own marketing. Providers that support our calls and texts may process them on our behalf.
Calls, texts and email
Giving us your phone number lets us call you back about your request. We send texts, or make calls using an autodialer or a prerecorded voice, only if you tick the optional consent box on the form or otherwise clearly agree in advance, as Washington law (RCW 19.190.060–.070) and the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act require. That consent is never required to request an estimate or to buy anything from us. We keep a record of when and how you gave it.
When we call, we say who we are and why we are calling, and we call only between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Pacific time unless you ask us to call at another time. We honor the National Do Not Call Registry for calls you did not ask for. If we ever record a call, we will tell you at the start of the call, as Washington law requires (RCW 9.73.030).
You can withdraw consent at any time by any reasonable means, for example by replying STOP to a text or by telling us on a call. Reply HELP for help. We honor withdrawals as soon as practicable, and no later than 10 business days after we receive them, or sooner if the law requires. We keep a record of your choice so that we do not contact you again by mistake. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Any marketing email we send will identify us, include a valid postal address and offer a simple way to unsubscribe. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose we collected it for. We decide how long by asking whether a request is still active, whether the information is needed to perform an agreement or warranty, what records the law requires us to keep, and whether it is needed for security or to resolve a dispute. When those purposes end, we delete or de-identify it.
- Requests that do not become a project are deleted once they are no longer active.
- Project records, such as contracts, permits, invoices and warranty information, are kept for the warranty period and the record-keeping periods set by tax, licensing and other laws.
- Technical server records are kept only for security and troubleshooting.
- Opt-out records, such as a request to stop texts, are kept so that we keep honoring them.
How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to personal information to people who need it for your request or project. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and within 30 days, and notify the Washington State Attorney General when more than 500 Washington residents are affected, as RCW 19.255.010 requires.
Your privacy choices
We serve homeowners and businesses in Washington State. Washington does not currently have a general consumer privacy law, but we honor the following requests from anyone, wherever they live:
- Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you, how we got it, why we use it and who we disclosed it to, and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correct: ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
- Delete: ask us to delete it, subject to exceptions the law allows, such as records we must keep for a contract, warranty, permit, licensing or tax purposes.
- Opt out: of texts, automated calls and marketing email at any time, as described in Calls, texts and email. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
- Equal treatment: we will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a different quality of service for making any of these requests.
How to make a request. Contact us using any method in Contact us. For access, correction and deletion requests, we verify your identity using only the information reasonably necessary, such as details matching what we already hold. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized. We respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days.
Health information. Washington’s My Health My Data Act gives you specific rights over consumer health data. Those rights, and how to use them, are in our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General’s Office at atg.wa.gov.
Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from anyone under 16. If we learn that a child has sent us information, we will delete it; if you believe this has happened, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
